Comparative Techno-Economic and Exergetic Analysis of Circulating and Dual Bed Biomass Gasification Systems

In this work, the techno-economic and exergy analyses of two gasification technologies with integration into heat power combined cycles are presented: i). Circulating fluidized bed (CFB) ii). Dual (DFB) systems. As feedstock, lignocellulosic biomass (sugarcane bagasse, SCB) was considered . The process fluidized-bed systems (circulating dual bed) syngas conversion were performed using Aspen Plus ® software. design includes drying gasification, cleaning, combustion, generation, recovery. SCB-DFB system has lowest irreversibility rate and, as a result, highest overall performance generation (achieving 32% in 53% efficiency when coupled cycle). From assessment, total production costs per unit energy. Hence, could be more competitive technology for agro-industrial sector to generate from materials.
